Model your estimating business

Use your projects. Your hours. Your professional cost.

Forget generic national averages. Build a normal month from the projects you actually work on and compare the production time directly with CMAI.

Your working assumptions

Which projects do you work on each month?

Add your project mix below. Enter the hours your Quantity Surveyor or Estimator normally spends producing the quantities. CMAI starts with a planning allowance for each project type; every figure is visible and editable.

Pricing rule used in this model: If you select Quantities + Pricing, enter how much extra professional production time pricing normally adds to your quantity work. The default is 200% extra — so 1 hour of quantities becomes 3 hours total. CMAI uses a fixed 25% pricing uplift — so 1 hour of CMAI quantity processing becomes 1.25 hours total. CMAI licence fees are deliberately not included here.

Why 32 minutes for a standard house extension?

CMAI has achieved an 11-minute controlled new-build first pass at approximately 99% first-pass accuracy. We are not using that best case in the calculator. A standard house extension is modelled at a more conservative 32-minute quantity-processing allowance to allow for interaction and controlled review.
