What a Construction Monkey licence is—and what it is not.

1. Territory

The agreement defines the licensed country, region, sector or customer class. Exclusivity is not automatic and, where offered, may depend on minimum performance, revenue, service and brand standards.

2. Licensed proposition

The agreement defines which services the licensee may sell: measurement, BOQs, take-offs, costing, revision control, managed estimating or other approved outputs.

3. White-label branding

Where agreed, client-facing outputs may carry the licensee’s brand. Construction Monkey may require specified attribution in certain implementations or may operate entirely behind the licensed brand depending on the commercial model.

4. Central processing hubs

The underlying engine may be operated through Construction Monkey-controlled processing hubs. Licensees receive the agreed outputs and workflow access; they do not automatically receive source code, model credentials, prompts, orchestration logic or internal QA methods.

5. Intellectual property

Construction Monkey retains ownership of the core technology, engine, workflow logic and central improvements. The licensee retains its own pre-existing brand, customer relationships, approved proprietary rate data and other expressly identified materials.

6. Local configuration

Measurement standards, terminology, currency, tax treatment, local rates, document presentation and review rules may be configured for the territory.

7. Accuracy and professional responsibility

The workflow is designed to maximise traceability and controlled QA. The signed agreement defines review responsibilities, permitted reliance, correction routes and any professional or statutory obligations that remain with the licensee or other appointed professionals.

8. Data and confidentiality

Both parties protect confidential business and project information. Client/project data is processed only for the agreed service and in accordance with applicable contractual and data-protection requirements.

9. Commercial terms

Licence fees, transaction/project charges, revenue share, minimum commitments, support, renewal and any exclusivity conditions are agreed for the territory rather than assumed from the website.

10. Termination

The signed agreement sets out suspension/termination rights, treatment of active projects, data return/retention, brand cessation and continuing confidentiality/IP obligations.
